Term 1

This term in Year 3 we are using the book Flotsam by David Weisner to support our writing. Whilst exploring this text we will be working on expanding noun phrases, progressive verbs and using power of 3 to retell the interesting, yet unusual book. 

In Maths, we are working on your plce value to 1000, understanding hundreds, tens and ones. We are also beginning to understand length and perimeter as well as addition and subtraction of 3 digit numbers. 

For our Instructional Reading lessons we are beginning to work on understanding a text and how to be curious about a text. Soon we will be exploring the book Varjak Paw by S.F. Said.
