Year 4 trip to Bristol Aerospace

Earlier this term, Year 4 along with Year 1, visited Bristol Aerospace in Filton, Bristol. We were very excited to be leaving school and going on a trip. 

When we arrived, we had a briefing by one of the team at Aerospace- Bengi. Year 4 then went to look at Concord- we were all amazed at how sleek it looked. In small groups, we were able to walk through the plane which was very narrow. After a short run around we had a science workshop about sound which linked well with our current science unit in school. We learnt about sound and how sound waves vary depending on different materials and distance. 

After lunch, we spent time looking through the museum section. Here we saw WW1 planes, WW2 planes, engineering tools as well as various rockets.
